Cheng Yi is the Cover Star of Esquire Fine September Issue

The main lead of the recent hit television drama "Draw the Line" takes the cover of Esquire Fine with a bit of a funky vibe.

In the full spread shared by the magazine, it is clear that Cheng Yi is not only an actor we know on screen but also a flamboyant boy when he needs to flaunt his fashion sense.

Regarding the "Draw the Line" drama that wrapped up a couple weeks ago, Cheng Yi shared that he visited the courtroom for half a month to learn more about how legal professionals work.

It is a known fact that Cheng Yi is a workaholic who has been filming non-stop. About vacation between dramas, he said he would visit his family and grandparents whenever he was free. "If I have the opportunity in the future, I really want to take my family out to travel, such as Sichuan, Yunnan, Chongqing, Hainan, etc.", said Cheng Yi.

For the question about adjusting between different roles, Cheng Yi answered "I sometimes put some small details that I thought of into it, hoping to make the characters more vivid." He also added "I won't think too much about its (the character's) difficulty, the more relaxed you can be, the smoother the (acting) process is."

Cheng Yi also mentioned that his idol is Andy Lau as he's influenced by his grandma when he was young. Among the directors, Ang Lee is whom he looks up to.

He also revealed that he has Trypophobia and wouldn't look at anything that is like a cluster of holes. Not relying on constellations and zodiac signs, Cheng Yi also mentioned that he make friends only based on his feelings.

A frequent visitor to Hengdian since 2010, Cheng Yi said "I don't think about future too much". And probably how the actor has been walking gradually and is winning the heart of drama viewers.
