Jay Chou Collaborated with JABBAWOCKEEZ on his Latest MV "Cold Hearted"
The original king of mandopop proves yet again how versatile he is with his latest release "Cold Hearted" (紅顏如霜 ).
In one same MV, the 43 years old singer is seen both playing Guzheng and dancing together with American hip-hop dance crew JABBAWOCKEEZ.
Interwinding the traditional Chinese vibe and his signature pop music with a touch of R&B, "Cold Hearted" is from Jay Chou's fifteen studio album released in July this year. Mixing Chinese traditional music with modern instrument is nothing new in Chinese music scene but it is not an easy task to smoothen the transition between two different vibes. Yet Jay Chou's "Cold Hearted" sets the bar high for all the Chinese songs that incorporates traditional music.
Composed by Jay Chou with lyrics of Fang Wenshan, this MV is directed by the American director Mike Ho who has worked with International artists such as Jennifer Lopez, Nicki Minaj and 21 Savage.
