Wu Qian and Li Jiahang Stars Filming the New Drama “Faithful”
The filming of a costume drama with Wu Qian (Janice Wu), Li Jiahang, Qiao Zhenyu and Hu Yixuan starts filming today!
Formerly known as “The Nine”, quite a literal translation of its Chinese name 九义人, this new drama is based on a novel by Li Baojian that won Xiaoya Award on Douban, the story sets in ancient time when nine people fight for justice.
Mr. Wu is known for his exquisite embroidery skills to whom parents sent their daughters to learn from him. Later, a student called Lin Rulan (played by Hu Yixuan) accused Mr. Wu of rape. Years passed and nine people from all walks of life including a bailiff, a pickpocket, an upper-class woman, a scholar, a business man and a monk set off to seek justice for the victim.
Co-produced by Tencent Penguin Pictures and Shanwei films, this Tencent drama will film for 80 days.
