Esther Yu's Parents' Company in another Business Scandal

First of such case in 2023, Yu Shuxin's name is in hot water again for her parents' business issues.

According to the company information app Qichacha, Xinyu Haoyu Industrial Co., Ltd. is executed by People's Court of Xinyu city, Jiangxi province to pay for 311,500 RMB (~ 45,300 USD).

The company in the record is represented legally by Liu Jinmei, Yu Shuxin's mother. The company was established back in December, 2009 with a paid-in capital of 30 million yuan. Yu Pijie, the young actress's father, holds 70% of the shares while his wife is also a shareholder with 10%. The other shareholder is Yu Qiaoqian with 20%.

About a year ago in December, 2020, it was reported that Liu Jinmei owed more than 2 million yuan which she refused to pay. The reports claim People's Court in Nanchang issued a restriction order on her from high-spending. (i.e. she is legally not allowed to purchase excessive things apart from living and working expenses.) While Yu Shuxin's studio issued two statements claiming it was a dispute between companies, people name her mother "Laolai", a derogatory term who are in debt but refuse to pay it back while they can.

Fans of the actress who rose to fame with Love between Fairy and Devil costume drama defended that it is not uncommon for the companies to have such business disputes while others criticize that it shows a pattern. The topic "Yu Shuxin's parents' company is the judgement debtor again" is at 1st place on the entertainment trending list and 4th place on general trending list.

No response has been made by the actress's team yet.
