Sword and Fairy Wraps Up Filming

The 6th installment to Chinese Paladin, one of the most well-known xianxia series in China, Sword and Fairy with Yu Shuxin (Esther Yu) and Xu Kai has wrapped up filming officially after 6 months of filming.

The drama, also known as Chinese Paladin 6 which shares the same name with famous RPG game, tells a story of Yue Jinzhao, played by Xu Kai and Yue Qi, played by Yu Shuxin who wanders around to retrieve their past after developing a relationship in which they are sympathetic towards each other in Wuyan village.

During their exploration, mysterious incidents unfold one after another including the fight against Qinhun (Risen Soul) cult that unlocks Yue Qi's (Yu Shuxin) memories that later lead both Yue Qi (Yu Shuxin) and Yue Jinzhao (Xu Kai) to be acquainted with Luo Zhaoyan (Wan Peng).

Directed by Liu Guonan who has worked on The Glory of Tang Dynasty and others, the supporting cast list of the drama includes Fu Xinbo, Bai Bingke, Zhou Lijie, Xue Baiyi and and Jia Nai.

This 36-episode drama, produced by Shandong Film and Television International whose portfolio includes hit-dramas such as Nirvana in Fire and Ode to Joy, will air on Tencent (WeTV).
