A New Medical Drama On Its Way

赤子之心 (Chi Zi Zhi Xin ~ Pure like a newborn's heart) with Mark Chao and Mao Xiaotong as leads just wraps up filming today.

Announced in last September and known earlier as the remake of 2007 Korean drama "New Heart, this drama tells a story of three cardiologists at Dongli Hospital. Zhou Xiaofeng, plays by Mark Chao, is an deputy chief of the Cardiology Department at Dongli Hospital. With his introverted personality and strict self-discipline, Zhou Xiaofeng (Mark Chao) teams up with Lin Yi, plays by Jin Shijia, another cardiologist but impulsive and outspoken unlike the former. 

Lin Yi (Jin Shijia) who just joined the Dongli hospital by the recommendations of a senior as he mainly focused on his surgery works with almost no communication or collaboration with his colleagues, has different takes on medical cases with Zhou Xiaofeng (Mark Chao) and that's where the tension arises.

Fang Xiaoran, stared by Mao Xiaotong, is the yonger sister of Zhou Xiaofeng (Mark Chao) who joins Dongli hospital's Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit as a doctor and she tries to ease up the tensed relationship between her brother and mother.

Produced by Linmon Pictures (The King's Avatar, Legend of Fuyao, Nothing but Thirty) and distributed by Tencent, this drama filmed in Qingdao will have 40 episodes.
